By now you probably already know about our EmpowerHER Gatherings and the amazing skills girls are learning there. If you don’t, the EmpowerHER Gathering is a Gals Guidance initiative where girls come together to learn simple, practical skills from each other, skills that can help them grow, build confidence, and even earn in the future.
Do you have a simple skill you can teach other girls?
Maybe you know how to:
• Braid hair
• Sew or design clothes
• Bake something simple
• Do makeup
• Create crafts
• Fix something
• Or any other small skill
It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be something another girl can learn from you.
Come teach your skill on the EmpowerHER YouTube Channel, and you may also have the opportunity to teach it at our in-person bi-monthly EmpowerHER Gatherings, inspiring other girls across Liberia.
Because when one girl learns a skill, many girls can grow.

We’re thrilled to announce that Gal’s Guidance is putting together our first-ever teen magazine, with a special focus on Dating Norms in Liberia. This magazine will be published and distributed in schools and communities, reaching teen girls just like you.
We already have the topics lined up, all we need is your voice and your words! If selected, you’ll be assigned one of our prepared topics to write on, and your work will be featured in a magazine that could inspire and empower hundreds of girls.
Important note: This is a volunteer opportunity (not a paid role), but it’s a chance to be published, gain experience, and make a real impact in the lives of your peers.
