When your teeth are clean, your smile is even more beautiful, and your presence does not make others uncomfortable because of bad breath. When you don’t have clean breath, people notice. Your friends may gossip about you, make fun of you, or avoid sitting close to you and most importantly, you will not feel comfortable within yourself. That being said, here are a few tips to keep your teeth clean.

Brush in the Morning and at Night
When you wake up in the morning, your mouth will not be clean. Even if you didn’t eat anything or even if you brush it before going to bed, germs have been working all night. So before you rush to school, please brush your teeth.
At night too, after you eat your rice and soup or bread and tea, don’t just drop on the bed. If you sleep without brushing, all that food will stay in your mouth and start spoiling your teeth.
Even when you’re tired, my sister, try small. Your teeth will thank you.

Brush Your Teeth on the Weekend Too
Some kids only bathe and brush their teeth when they are going to school. I used to know someone and their brother who decided that since they were not going to school, they didn’t need to do any cleaning in the morning.
But weekends don’t mean rest from hygiene. Your teeth don’t know it’s Saturday or Sunday. Brushing every day, school day or not, keeps your mouth fresh.

Two Minutes Is Enough
You don’t need to brush long-long. Just try for two minutes. If you like music, sing your favorite chorus two times while brushing. By the time the song done, your teeth safe.

Don’t Be Hard on Your Teeth
Some of us brush like we fighting our teeth. My sister, calm down .
Brushing too hard can hurt your gum and make your mouth bleed. Brush gently, small-small, like you taking care of something you love.

Your Tongue Need Brushing Too
Plenty bad smell comes from the tongue. After you brush your teeth, just lightly brush your tongue. That one alone can change your whole mouth.

Sugar Is Sweet But It Can Spoil Your Teeth
Whether you love candy, biscuit, cold water or sweet-sweet things – that’s normal, but too much sugar will spoil your teeth fast.
If you eat sweet things and you can’t brush right away:
- Rinse your mouth with water
- Put water in your mouth and spit it out well. It will help small.

If You Don’t Have Toothpaste
Sometimes toothpaste will finish and there is no money yet to buy. That one happen. If that is your case:
- Use fingers
- Or brush with just water
But once you can get toothpaste, go back to it.
What important is that you still trying.

Change Your Toothbrush When It Old
If your brush start spreading like broom, it not cleaning your teeth again. After about three months, try to change your brush. Old brush can carry plenty germs.

Why All This Important, My Sister?
Because when your teeth clean:
- You will feel bold to talk and laugh
- You don’t have to hide your mouth
- You will feel fresh around people
- You take care of your body and respect yourself
Self-care is not only for big women on the internet. It for you too.
