How to Stay Calm During WASSCE

Let’s be real, sitting for WASSCE can feel like the whole world is watching you. This exam comes with pressure, stress, and serious overthinking. But here’s the truth: you can’t slay your exam if your mind is all over the place! You need to stay calm, collected, and focused.

So sis, here are 5 chill tips to help you keep your cool during WASSCE:

  1. Don’t Mind the Supervisors (Yes, those hall walkers )
Forget they’re even there. Just focus on your paper. I know it’s awkward seeing them pacing around like detectives, but block them out. Eyes on your questions, brain on fire , pen to paper. Do you, not them.
  2. Relax Your Mind(Breathe, Girl!)
Don’t let the exam pressure squeeze your brain. Take a deep breath in… and out. Tell yourself, “I’ve got this.” When your mind is calm, the questions make more sense. Trust me, even that one question that looks like it just fell off the sky might just click!
  3. Study Ahead (Like, Seriously)
Sis, waiting till the last minute is not it. Do not do your test like you do African time. Study your notes, go over past questions, do small research, do not miss the class your school has for you to prepare you for the exam. it’ll boost your confidence big time. That way, when you enter the exam hall, you’ll be like, “WASSCE? I came prepared!” No waiting for the teacher to come to your rescue, no waiting for your friends to sneak answers to you. Isn’t that amazing?
  4. Positive Mindset Only
Say this out loud: “I will pass this exam.” Say it again! If you’ve prepared well, believe in your own power. A positive mind helps you stay focused and way less anxious.
  5. Ignore the WASSCE Drama & Gossip
Girl, there are so many news and rumors about WASSCE: truths or lies. People exaggerate things, saying how WASSCE is this or that. Keeping on listening to talk like that will make you worried or even scared. So don’t listen to the gossip; it will help you stay calm and relaxed for WASSCE.

In short? Stay calm, stay ready, and stay focused. You’ve worked hard, and you’re going to do great. WASSCE isn’t bigger than you. Now breathe, study, and slay that test!
