Honestly, there is no specific material that will guarantee you 100% success in WAEC, not even the ones in this article. Yes, I know you’re probably considering not reading this article any further because of that statement, but hear me out. The truth is, these materials only help to show you the path to success. It’s entirely up to you to use these materials properly by studying harder so that, in the end, you’ll come out with flying colors
1. Past WAEC/WASSCE Test Papers
Preparing for this test is literally confusing. You can’t take a test you have no idea about, so for you to at least get acquainted with the test, you should study past questions and understand how they draw their questions. To be honest, the format is mostly almost always the same, and the interesting part is, they repeat questions and you never know which question will be repeated, so studying from the past paper gives you an advantage. Imagine if they repeat that question you couldn’t stop practicing/studying over and over, dan nah free ride der for you?
So prioritize studying past papers. It’ll help you to excel in the test. This is the reason your teachers review those past papers with you in Saturday Class, please take it seriously.
2. WAEC/WASSCE Syllabus
In addition to the previous point, studying from the syllabus also increases your chances of succeeding or excelling in the test. The syllabus is a material that gives you specific topics for you to study for the test. Studying and understanding these topics gives you control over the test because at least you know what to expect. Don’t worry, they don’t draw questions from any topic that is not part of their syllabus, they stick to it, so before you study from the syllabus, make sure it is the latest or up-to-date version.
3. Read this article I wrote on this same topic for more materials you could study to prepare you for the test.
